26 GNAI - Black base

There's a wonderful nail art challenge on instagram by two lovely ladies this month, Starryeyed83 and Ladyandthe_stamp, and it's all about Pancreatic Cancer awareness. I joined in on all the challenges last year but I've not been able to this month as I've just been so busy! However, this weeks prompt for 26 GNAI is just to use a black base so I incorporated purple flowers into my mani which is next weeks prompt!

My black base is the gorgeous Black Forrest which is a new colour to the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine range and let me tell you....I love it! You could get away with one coat but I preferred two and it's so damn shiny!
To stamp I used Uber Chic plate 12-03 for the layered roses and 3-1 for the ribbon. They layered roses came out a lot better this time as I wasn't recording a video at the same time lol!
Stamping polishes were Tuco from EDK and B a.Berry Smoothie and B a.Mint from Colour Alike.

I then top coated with a new to me top coat, Topped with love by Love Angeline, that was gifted to me by my lovely friend Alex who owns Nail-Artisan. I really like this! Glides on so smoothly and really fast drying!

If you want to find out more about this challenge and do your bit to help, go to instagram and search for #pcanovember16 where you will all the post people have done.

What do you think of my take on a black base?

Bye for now x
